Would you like to plan your cycle routes across the Vinschgau Valley?

At 1500 m [4921f] a.s.l on the Reschen mountain pass from the borderline between Italy and Austria begins the cycle route of the Vinschgau Valley. For about five hours time you can cycle along the Etsch riversides passing through small villages and enjoy the amazing sceneries of this vale before arriving at Meran. The ride is 86 km [53.43 M] in length and within the elevation profile it includes an altitude difference of 1.170 m [3,838 f].

Should the whole route be too much, it’s still worth to attempt a shorter section of it. Also, since the railway winds its way through the valley bordering the bike route, it may be suitable for bikers to partially travel by train and then, whenever, by riding the bike further on…

Otherwise, should the Vinschgau cycle route be inadequate, there are different options to extend your bike tour:

  1. Nearby Meran, the Etsch Valley River cycle-route towards Bozen  (via Claudia)
  2. Nearby Meran, the Passer Valley River cycle-route on the way to Saint Leonard (in part broken stones)
  3. At the Reschen Mountain Pass through the via Claudia towards Nauders/Landeck (A)

Mountainbikers – either amateurs or beginners – may get an exciting chance to feel sheer emotions on biking along amazing trails downhill Mount Tramontana and their hearts will leap for the joy as it happens for of all adrenaline junkies.
